Life Groups

God’s people meeting together in homes.

Developing a caring community where God’s love can be demonstrated and people’s needs can be ministered to.

Life Groups are an important part of the ministry of a growing congregation. They provide a framework where members can develop close, caring relationships with other Christians. Life Groups are a meaningful time of worship, study of God’s word, prayer, and body ministry. They are the fulfillment of New Testament commands to “love one another”, John 13:34; “pray for one another”, James 5:16; “build up or strengthen one another”, II Thess. 5:11; and “serve one another”, Galations 5:13; in the body of Christ. Participation in Life Groups will help you experience Christian love and enable you to share His love with others. Life Groups will assist you in your development as a disciple by giving you opportunity to exercise your ministry gifts within small, loving, and non-threatening settings.

You, as an individual, are important to the growth of the body of Christ. You can supply service and ministry to others which non one else can replace! In the Life Group setting, as each individual responsibly ministers to others, it will result in the spiritual growth of every believer.

The Holy Spirit has, through the example of the early church, set down for us in the New Testament God’ ideal pattern of church life. As we study Acts 2:42-47 we discover that the early church met in two separate gatherings. There were the large group meetings in the “Temple where they worshiped God together and to listen to the teachings of the apostles. There were also small group
